Event technoburlesque at the intersection of code and subjectivity is a dumb comedy of the body, which parodies the rigors of social roles; doing it so with plenty of music, images and movement.

The other at the same time is an experimental dance project based on a system researched in first group piece created by choreographer Matija Ferlin called Onformance. The intention of this project is to expand movement research and include the originality that written play brings once has been performed in relationship with the specific researched movement. Such principle evokes novelty for play-writers as well as for performers.

Sad Sam Lucky, a solo creation by the Croatian choreographer and performer Matija Ferlin is a continuation of the ongoing romantic conceptual series SAD SAM that started in January 2004 in Amsterdam when the first Sad Sam Now I am was premiered. The second solo creation Sad Sam Almost 6 was presented in 2009.

Lights, performers’ bodies, a TV screen, the walls in space become projection screens for a gaze to rest upon, desires and thoughts of a spectator. Shame is a complex, integral and independent staging. It may dig up a memory or two and tenderly subject a person to re-questioning. It doesn’t provoke, it simply just touches you.

In his solo performance Sad Sam Almost 6 Matija Ferlin wants to investigate a mind of a child that is not conditioned by anything, not even by his own existence. While growing up, the conscience of the existence creates numerous “terrorizing” facts that are results of social conditions and constraints.
