The Sensitive Body Workshop invites those present to encounter the natural current state of their bodies and their circumstances, and to recognize dance in this. Through various activations, the dancer is gradually put in contact first with their own body, then with the space and their fellow beings, in search of logics that should find dance in all these relations. The movement draws from contemporary dance and choreographic techniques, improvisation, and taichi. It asks how to dance place: how to understand in dance the presence, intertwining, and interdependence of various structures that build space.
Process:
1. Warm-up and stretching (principles of taichi), breathing awareness, observing body states through movement
2. Continuing into guided (dance) improvisation, connecting with the material structure of the space
3. Creative work in public space, dealing with the structures offered by the market
4. Presentation of created proposals (within the group)
The workshop is intended for everyone, and especially emphasizes the invitation of people with disabilities. The workshop will be adapted to age groups and accessible to different physical abilities. Previous dance experience is not necessary, but openness to a new way of working with the body is expected.

A vibrant festival day for all generations! Šiška Open invites you to a full-day exploration of the creative energy of the neighborhood. Visit exhibitions, open studios and ateliers, join one of the various workshops or guided walks, catch a concert, performance or film screening, browse the fairs and exchange center, try new sports activities and meet local creators from a wide variety of fields. The program is free, diverse and open to anyone interested in good company, fresh ideas and new experiences. In case of bad weather, the outdoor event will be moved under the roof of the Kino Šiška and Vodnikova domačija.
