About
Somatic competence enhances our ability to remain resilient in resistance by drawing attention to subtle sensations and patterns to ground and center the physical body, proposing improvisational games to awaken energy and lean into the connected sense of ecstasy that is part of dancing. By integrating techniques and knowledge from queer nightlife and under the guidance of Olympia and Maria, each participant will have the opportunity to forge and present a number that testifies to the ecstasy of queer nightlife and the interoceptive queer body.
Biography
Olympia Bukkakis (the Queen) is a drag queen, choreographer, presenter and writer who lives and works in Berlin. Together with choreographer and community-builder Maria F. Scaroni (the Witch), who also works in Berlin, they bring to life a queer child of exquisite interoceptive authenticity, politicized sensibility, real personas, cunty Marxism and heretical prayers.
