The Feminalz collective, which has been creating the techno-burlesque Image Snatchers for 13 years, is looking for new extravaganzas, artistic extracts and all sorts of extra-wild entities to spice up an eXXXtra edition of the Technoburlesque as part of the Platform of Small Arts festival.
If current events are making you want to rewrite society’s source code, and you do so on stage through dance, clowning, burlesque, singing or some post-genre hybrid — and if you don’t take yourself too seriously — we invite you to shake up our collective with a new solo or group act (which you can perform with the participation of our thieves)!
Applications with a short CV and a description of your idea for a new act are open until 23 August 2026. You can supplement your application with a photograph, short video or another form of presentation, and upload everything you’ve gathered to the provided link: https://cb.emanat.si/s/XigmsNqiqSBHzkW (name each uploaded document with your own name). In case of risks or unwanted side effects, consult your favourite thief. Some applicants will be invited to an intensive workshop on 30 August 2026 at the Mladinsko Theatre, while those selected will perform with us at the eXXXtra edition of the Technoburlesque Image Snathers on 14 November 2026, as part of the Platform of Small Arts festival at the Mladinsko Theatre.
The one-day workshop with an audition is free of charge, while participation in the eXXXtra performance edition on 14 November will be paid.
