Awards by Association for Contemporary Dance Slovenia and Festival Gibanica awards

The 6th Slovenian dance platform Moving-cake took place between 21st and 23rd February 2013. In the main programme of the festival Emanat presented The Other At The Same Time by Matija Ferlin and in the side programme Shame by Maja Delak (see the selection and the programme here).

At the end of the festival two prizes were given; th audience award for the best performance was given to Eden by Mala Kline and the award of the jury to Shame by Maja Delak. Members of international jury were Zala Dobovšek from Slovenia, Iva Nerina Sibila from Croatia and Anita Mathieu from France.

For the first time awards by Association for Contamporary Dance Slovenia were given. The awards are named by prominent Slovenian choreographer, Ksenija Hribar.

The awards were given to: Maša Kagao Knez (female dancer), Loup Abramovici (male dancer), skupina plesalk Enya Belak, Veronika Valdes, Jerca Rožnik Novak in Maša Hawlina (promising dancers), Matija Ferlin (male choreographer), Mala Kline (female choreographer), tandem Teja Reba in Leja Jurišić (promising choreographers), Petra Veber (set design fro contemporary dance), Luka Prinčič (sound design for contemporary dance), Igor Remeta (light design for contemporary dance), Samo Selimović (promising dance producer), Žiga Predan (producer for contemporary dance), Pia Brezavšček (critic fro contemporary dance) in Jasna Knez (life achievements).
