build and learn about connections in the body

Julija Pečnikar

About

In class, we will build and learn about connections in the body with the help of imagination, observation of the functioning of body structures / mechanisms and perception of feelings. We will explore the practical significance of body movement, its triggers and ways of managing them. We will awaken sensory and flexible through various improvisational and technical exercises. The goal of the exercises is to reach a state in the body somewhere between relaxation and cheerfulness. We will first devote some time to a comprehensive examination of the physical apparatus through slightly more static "body scan" exercises, then we will challenge ourselves with various technical tasks and finally spice it up with creative and compositional antics.
