Matija received the award for his performance Sad Sam Lucky, presented at 40th International Festival of Alternative and New Theatre – INFANT in Novi Sad. An international jury composed of dr. Peter Zec, Natasha Milović and Attila Antal said that ''Choreographer and performer Matija Ferlin persuasively embodied the spirit of poetry of Slovenian poet Srečko Kosovel. Vulnerable body of the dancer, dirtied with ashes, with his virtuosity and impetuosity of movement managed to repeatedly recapture the hell of creation. Exhausted body. Sacrificed body. Purified body. Apotheosis to words and body. Art as Healing and consecration. ''
