ABOUT

The workshop is organized in the frame of the first international exchange of high school students of the Khadans School from Antwerp and the Slovene secondary school SVŠGL – programme contemporary dance of the Pre-School Education and Grammar School Ljubljana. The exchanges will takes place in March and April 2010. During the visit of the Belgian students in Ljubljana, we are organizing a 4-day workshop by Matej Kejžar. The workshop is intended to the students of both schools and other dancers (from 15-20 years) with dance experience.

What do you look at and what do you see. These are the two key questions and at the same time points of departure of the workshop. The questions will be broached from several perspectives, from both the social and entirely subjective. To this purpose, we will attempt to construct a structure, which will be clear and open, constituting an event, emerging here and now. Through these structures, the participants will be introduced into a more radical approach, where the protagonists are substituted, music is replaced with dance, gender with the word.
